Making money online is easy when you give people what they want.  Do you know what people want?  If, you don’t know what people want, just ask them, but you really don’t have to, because all over the Internet people are pretty forward when it comes to telling you what they want.  Once you know what people want, you can build a website or blog that interest you and then find a product or service that fits the theme of what your site is about.  You website or blog should be about solving problems, challenges or concerns that people are having and need help with.

You be the person to help them.  It’s not about what affiliate program you can make the most money with, but the quality of your content that you offer your visitors.  That content must solve some question, problem, challenge or concern people online are frequently expressing they need help with.  You don’t need to look at how much others are making online and try to duplicate that unless you are looking at a similar them site.  It’s not about what affiliate program is the most lucrative to make money from, but it is all about learning how to market online first and foremost.  It’s about solving people’s problems.  Do that and you will get significant traffic to your site and when you have the traffic, then monetize your site with a relevant product or service that is themed to your content.

Remember always what people go online for?  Information!  People are going online looking for information about some problem, challenge or concern that they have.  Folks go online looking for answers to their problems, challenges or concerns.  There are a ton of places where people are searching for information, places like Answers, Yahoo Groups, Twitter, Discussion Forums, or places to share their thoughts.

Give a visitor what they are searching for online and that is information and make that information credible and free.  Don’t worry about making money with your site until you’ve got the targeted traffic and by targeted, I’m referring to visitors to your site who are actually looking for what you’re writing about.  You want site visitors who are interested in what you have to say, even if they don’t know they are interested in what you have to say.  Make it interesting and make it relevant to what your site is about.

You can satisfy the needs of your site visitor by addressing their problems, challenges or concerns.  If, you don’t know what their problems, challenges or concerns are, ask them.  Make it easy for them to contact you, by having a comment box or form on your site so that they can ask you questions or leave comments.  You can give people what they want by teaching them techniques and strategies that help them accomplish tasks that were tedious or not fully understood.

You provide information by sharing what you know and your visitors will appreciate your efforts and reward you with frequent visits and maybe even buy from you or join some program that you recommend.  You will make an amble return once you start solving people’s problems, challenges and concerns.  Start there first and you will have a rewarding ending that may even afford you enough income to do it full-time.

Don’t worry about monetizing your website or blog without generating enough traffic to your site first.  You can join a lot of affiliate programs and not make a dime, because you don’t have the traffic to benefit from driving targeted traffic to your website or blog first.  True enough there are some programs that are better than others, but overwhelmingly it’s all about having targeted traffic that is interested in your content first.  You can make money with virtually any affiliate program if you have the targeted traffic first.

It doesn’t matter if you are doing mlm (multi-level marketing) or affiliate marketing; both benefit most if you have the traffic to sustain your marketing efforts.  You do this best by having relevant content that matches the theme of your website or blog.  For example, mlm requires that you recruit people to duplicate what you are doing in order to make money, but beware many of the mlm programs out there emphasize recruiting others to make money and some don’t even have a reputable product to promote and a few may even fringe on being an outright scam.  So, do your due diligences before you invest your time or money with any program.

Affiliate marketing involves joining an affiliate program in order to benefit from sending people by way of a referral link in order to make a commission.  If, you have the visitors who are interested in the affiliate products or services that you have on your site, you may benefit from making it easy for your prospects to obtain those items.

Concentrate on helping people to solve their problems, challenges and concerns and build your website or blog around resolving other people’s questions and when you get sufficient traffic, then you can start to monetize your site.  You want to pick a problem to address that you are genuinely interested in because this will make it easier to endure when times get tough online.  Stay with what  you know or what  you’re willing to learn enough about to share and help others.  You will feel good about what you’re doing and if you help enough people, you’ll get what you want to!
