Google Zeitgeist is Google Trends and appropriately named Zeitgeist which is German for the Spirit of Time. What Google Zeitgeist and Google Trends is about, is looking at what people are searching for on Google Search in real-time. Google Zeitgeist is a sort of snapshot of what people are actively searching for at that moment in time. Google Zeitgeist is updated every hour and shows the trends in people’s search patterns as they are happening. So, think about it, if you were trying to commit suicide by getting hit by a motor vehicle, you go where the traffic is, if you want to succeed. We don’t advocate committing suicide, but that is what you are doing if you have a blog, website or forum and if it were not for you visiting, you‘d have no traffic. Here’s the cure….

To get a picture of the traffic you’re currently getting or not getting, go to Google Analytics and sign up for a free account. Google Analytics will allow you to see where your traffic is coming from and in what numbers. You can even see what part of the world your traffic is coming from and what keyword if any, brought them to your site.

The next thing that you need to do is to write a new post for your site using Google Zeitgeist as your guide. Go to Google Zeitgeist and look at the 100 keywords that people are actively searching for and find a keyword that you are interested in and write about that. You want to describe what it is going to be like and relate it to your chosen keyword from Google Zeitgeist. If, your keyword for example involves a new camera that is coming out or has just been released, you can write about the competing camera that will compete directly with the newly-released camera. You say something like, “the new camera (your keyword) will give the camera you’re writing about stern competition because of blah, blah, blah, blah! You relate the keyword you’re writing about to emphasize the keyword that is being actively searched for on Google Trends.

When you’re doing your blog post, look at what’s hot in Google Trends and if you are interested in one of the 100 keywords currently in Google Trends, by all means write about it. Just keep in mind that whatever you choose to write about, try to relate what is going on that day or at the most that week with Google Trends. You want to direct your traffic to a website, blog or forum that you have already have.

If, the keyword you chose to write about doesn’t have much keyword competition, you should rank well for the keyword that you are using and see some resultant traffic and links. Search for keywords that don’t have a lot of competition and you are most likely to get increasing traffic over time. Until next time, see you on the other side.

The easiest way to get traffic to your website, blog or forum and make money online is to write about something that you are interested in and you feel that your site visitors would enjoy reading and sharing. Here is the recipe on how to make money online that has proven itself, time and time again, in which you feel, would be beneficial to others in order to get traffic with the least amount of stress, yet get effective results.

The first thing that you do is decide what to write about. You could write about ways to make money online, but seriously, how do you decide what to write about? You go to Google Trends to see what’s going on with the interest of others who are online at this moment and take a look at what they’re searching for. If, you find something that you know something about or are interested in, within the 100 active searches that Google Trends displays, then pick one or two subjects to write about.

The second thing that you should do if you didn’t find anything that you were interested in writing about with Google Trends is to go to Alexa and type in Alex’s search box, a keyword or word phrase that you’re interested in learning more about. For example, I want to know how I can support myself in a foreign country while learning the language and customs, so I put in the Alexa search box, “making money abroad.”

I may not have many people who visit my site who are interested in “making money abroad,” because they aren’t going overseas anytime soon, so they aren’t interested in learning or even reading about “making money abroad.” A better search keyword or word phrase would be more appealing and perhaps more people would be interested in learning about is, “making money online.”

Since there are as many ways to make money online as there are to lose money online, I’d probably recommend to those starting out online, to stick with what they know best or are interested in most, because if you do what you love or have passion for, at some point in time online or offline, you are going to have some degree of success, provided of course you have the willingness and eagerness to learn and accept the fact that you may have to learn some new techniques and strategies to see your ambitions become reality.

That’s how one way to wet your appetite regarding what to write about. Your interests may be diverse, but your patience short, so you should generally write about some problem that you see others facing frequently when you read the forums and blogs relevant to your interests. For example, you could write about getting traffic, which is an obsessive pursuit for many of us.

Without sufficient traffic, your site will languish and you may lose interest with it. That’s why I recommend you stick with what you know, what you’re interested in, or what you’re willing to learn and share with others. If, you’re still a bit puzzled about how to generate ideas about what to write about, you may want to read this article that shows you an easy way to generate content based on your interests. Click here to read the easiest way to write an article!

You can go to Google, one of my favorite search engines and type in the keyword, “make money online,” (your keyword that you’re interested in) and get a ton of results back. Take the Top 5 website results and then find an article or post within each to comment on, so long as the site that you’re commenting on, allows you to leave your website or blog address in the comment box section. Always leave something of value that adds to the post or article that readers can benefit from.

You then go back to Google and put in the search box, the keyword or word phrase, “make money online blogs,” (your keyword that you’re interested in) and take the Top 5 blogs and comment on posts that interests you or feel that you can contribute something constructive to, so that it doesn’t appear that you are spamming the blog, just so that you can leave your website or blog address.

You will return to Google, once again, but this time, you are putting in the search box, the keyword or word phrase, “make money online forums.” (your keyword that you’re interested in). You take the Top5 forums and join each one of them, creating a username that maybe the name of your site, such as: “workathomepedia,” or “affiliatesterdotcom,” or something that would suggest to the forum reader that your username is an actually website or blog that they can visit. Human beings curious at best, generate a fair amount of traffic, just as an auto accident generates onlookers. A bonus to forums too, when they are relevant to your keywords is that oftentimes they allow you to put your site address in your signature with each post or comment that you make.

You will then do the same things mentioned above with Yahoo, because Yahoo and Google search engines compete for the Number 1 and 2 positions throughout any given day, so it is difficult to acknowledge Google, without also acknowledging Yahoo. Both will send you a fair amount of traffic. If, you’re really feeling energetic you can do the same for Microsoft’s new search engine, Bing. Do this and you will get traffic and you will make money online.
